Content Visibility & Publishing
Step 1: Understanding Visibility
- Visibility controls who can see content
- Two main states:
- Visible: Published and live
- Hidden: Saved but not published
Step 2: Setting Visibility Status
- When creating/editing page
- Find "Visibility" field
- Select option:
- Visible: Page is live
- Hidden: Page is saved but not shown
- Default is usually "Hidden"
Step 3: Publishing Content Immediately
- Set visibility to "Visible"
- Leave publish date empty
- Click "Save"
- Content is published immediately
- Available to customers right away
Step 4: Scheduling Content
- Set visibility to "Visible"
- Select future publish date
- Choose date and time
- Click "Save"
- Content publishes automatically on date
Step 5: Saving as Draft
- Set visibility to "Hidden"
- Add content
- Save page
- Page is saved but not published
- Work on it later
- Publish when ready
Step 6: Unpublishing Content
- Edit published page
- Change visibility to "Hidden"
- Click "Update"
- Page is hidden from customers
- Still saved in system
- Can republish later
Step 7: Previewing Content
- Use preview feature (if available)
- See how content looks
- Check formatting
- Verify links work
- Test on different devices
- Make adjustments before publishing
Step 8: Managing Published Content
- View published pages in list
- Filter by visibility status
- See publish dates
- Edit published content
- Update as needed
Step 9: Content Status Indicators
- Published: Green indicator or "Visible"
- Draft: Gray indicator or "Hidden"
- Scheduled: Shows future date
- Check status in pages list
Step 10: Bulk Visibility Management
- Select multiple pages (if available)
- Change visibility in bulk
- Publish or unpublish multiple items
- Save changes
- All selected items update
